Core Reflex Loop
Void Pursuit: Reflex Runner strips the endless runner down to a single interaction: tap or click to jump. Your character moves forward automatically through a procedurally generated corridor, and every obstacle must be cleared with correct timing. There are no combos, power-ups, or secondary buttons to manage. The entire challenge rests on reaction speed and pattern recognition, which keeps the focus tight and the controls immediately understandable.
Obstacle Patterns and Escalation
Obstacles are not scattered at random. They are arranged in repeating patterns that grow more intricate as a run continues. Early barriers are single and easy to clear. Later sequences demand multiple jumps in quick succession, and low-hanging barriers require a jump timed to avoid clipping the top. Because the patterns repeat, experienced players can learn to anticipate them rather than simply react.
Scoring and Coin Risk
Distance traveled is the primary score. Coins scattered along the path act as a secondary multiplier, and collecting a set number without missing one may award bonus points. This creates a risk-reward decision: reaching for a coin often means jumping later than usual, which raises the chance of hitting an obstacle. The score is displayed prominently, encouraging repeat attempts against your own best result.
Visual Feedback and Difficulty Curve
The presentation is minimalistic, with a dark palette, a silhouette character, and clearly defined obstacle shapes that contrast against the background. Collisions trigger immediate visual and sound feedback. Difficulty ramps up smoothly rather than spiking: the first seconds are intentionally easy, then character speed may increase slightly and gaps between obstacles shorten. There is no level selection or difficulty setting; the challenge is inherent in the endless format.
